Be the architect: Support company growth with a winning tech stack
Rev Ops has a large and growing role in an organization’s tech stack. First, they need to work with IT and others to distinguish revenue cycle tech, owned by Rev Ops, vs. non-revenue cycle tech, owned by other parts of the organization. Second, Rev Ops should treat technology ownership like a product, devising a roadmap, implementing prioritization frameworks, receiving feedback from users, etc. Ideally, many of these principles are shared among Product and Rev Ops Teams. Rev Ops also is not limited to certain products and has a strong, high-level understanding of the revenue tech stack as a whole, allowing them to make informed technology decisions based on cost, utilization, and interoperability. Finally, especially in this economy, Rev Ops needs to ruthlessly rightsize the revenue tech stack, quickly identifying redundancies and non-utilization so that companies can maintain strong financial standing
