Akira oversees Global Sales Operations for LinkedIn's SaaS businesses, including Talent Solutions, which collectively represent approximately 60% of total B2B revenue. Additionally, he holds responsibility for Member & Customer Success teams, as well as Marketing Planning & Performance. As a Latino executive hailing from Brazil, Akira has been an integral part of LinkedIn since 2014. He began his journey in Brazil, contributing to the scaling of the LATAM region, later transitioning to Ireland where he covered the EMEA region for two years before assuming his current role in San Francisco. In his capacity as a Sales Operations leader, Akira serves as the COO of the global business, acting as the backbone of the sales organization and the primary liaison between sales and other functional areas. He describes his role as a dynamic blend of strategy, analytics, and execution, which he finds both exhilarating and essential. Working in Sales Operations, for Akira, means being immersed in the engine room of the business, constantly amidst the action and surrounded by exceptionally intelligent and motivated professionals. His passion for his work is such that it transcends the notion of it being just a job.
